Amritsar MP Gurjeet Aujla Thanks Centre For Approval of Ferozepur–Patti Rail Project

Amritsar, November 13, 2025 (Yes Punjab News)

Amritsar MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla has expressed gratitude to the Central Government for granting approval to the Ferozepur–Patti Rail Project, calling it a major achievement that will greatly benefit the people of Amritsar and adjoining regions. He extended special thanks to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu for their support in making the long-pending project a reality.

MP Aujla said that he had been consistently raising this demand in Parliament and during meetings with central officials. “When I met the Railway Minister, my first and foremost request was for the approval of the Ferozepur–Patti Rail Project. I also wrote several letters and submitted memorandums to the ministry. I am delighted that our continuous efforts have finally borne fruit,” he said.

Highlighting the importance of the project, Aujla added that it would provide a significant boost to trade, tourism, and connectivity across the region. “This project will not only strengthen Amritsar’s economic base but also open new avenues of employment and business opportunities,” he stated.

He further said, “It gives me immense satisfaction that I could become the voice of the people of Amritsar. My mission has always been to speak up for the citizens and work for the overall growth of Guru Nagri (the Holy City).”

MP Aujla reiterated that he would continue to work tirelessly to bring more development projects to Amritsar. “My aim is to ensure that Guru Nagri is equipped with modern infrastructure and that its residents get the same opportunities and facilities that are available in India’s major cities,” he said.
