Amarjit Sandoa has betrayed people of Ropar, must resign and re-contest: Dr. Daljit Cheema

Chandigarh, May 4, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

Former Education Minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema today challenged Ropar AAP legislator Amarjit Singh Sandoa to resign from the Vidhan Sabha and re contest from Ropar to test his popularity amongst the people.

Reacting to reports of Amarjit Sandoa joining the Congress party, Dr Cheema said the mla had betrayed the electorate of Ropar which had chosen him as their representative on the AAP ticket. “It seems Amarjit Sandoa has sold himself to the Congress party to fulfil his narrow vested interests as well as save his skin in various cases. However by doing so he has insulted the people who voted him to power. These people will never forgive him”.

Asking Sandoa to resign immediately and contest on the Congress ticket, Dr Cheema said Sandoa got a chance to serve the people without doing any service and this was the reason why he had sold out the electorate so easily. However the people are now eagerly waiting to teach him a lesson”,

Dr Cheema said the manner in which the Congress has latched on to a discredited leader spoke volumes about the Congress party also. “At a time when the people are demanding why the Congress party reneged on its promises the party has chosen to indict Sandoa to hide its failures. Such tactics won’t succeed and the people will also take the Congress party to task for indulging in horse trading of elected members”.
