Amarinder to hoist tricolor at Jalandhar on Independence Day – JIT Chairman Ahluwalia reviews arrangements

Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh is scheduled to hoist tricolor in Jalandhar on 15th of August, the Independence Day.

The state-level function would be held at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium.

S. Daljit Singh Ahluwalia, the Chairman of Jalandhar Improvement Trust, who is taking special interest in the programme as Guru Gobind Singh Stadium is the ;property of the JIT, today visited the Stadium to review arrangements as it is the first visit of Capt Amarinder Singh on an Independence Day in Jalandhar.

Daljit Singh AhluwaliaAhluwalia directed the Trust officials to accelerate the pace of pending works so that it gets completed before the deadline.

The JIT Chairman also decided to set up a camp office in the Stadium itself and asked the Trust team to work with dedication and devotion.

Ahluwalia categorically told the officials that no negligence will be tolerated as it was a state-level function to be presided by the Chief Minister himself.

Those who accompanied the Chairman to the stadium included XEN Jaswant Singh, SDO Harmeet Singh, JE Raj Kumar, JE Anurag Sharma and Contractors Vipan Kumar, Ravish Sharma, Jassi Bhullar and Babbu Thapar.
