Amarinder playing in hands of BJP to scuttle Kartarpur Sahib corridor issue: Khaira

Chandigarh, Sept 13, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

Sukhpal Singh Khaira Bholath MLA and president of Punjab Ekta Party today lashed out at Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for playing in hands of BJP to scuttle Kartarpur Sahib corridor project and blamed that CM is raising frivolous issues of leaving of meagre service charges by Pakistan.

Khaira said that when stakes of Sikh community are so high and if is matter of faith more than any administrative rift, the actions of Capt Amarinder Singh smells of a conspiracy by vested interest. In no circumstances, the service charges of $20 to be charged for visit to Kartarpur Sahib shall not be bone of contention”.

He said that it is not first time Capt Amarinder Singh had tried to draw conflict with Pak in consensus with RSS and BJP. Even in Congress party, the intentions of Capt Amarinder are no secret and party leaders in Punjab are frustrated over his alignment with rightist forces.

Khaira said that Sikhs would pay any amount to see their dream of having open excess to Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib the holiest shrine of Sikhs. He said that Sikh community will not tolerate any attempt to thwart celebrations of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji.

He asked Capt Amarinder to look into his own conduct in government where he has imposed highest in the country VAT rates on petrol and Diesel, levied heavy administrative charges on public services and exorbitant power rates in state. He told Capt Amarinder to give relief to people of Punjab by slashing heavy tax rates instead of doing disservice to Punjab.
