Amarinder grants Rs.2-lakh aid to Lehragaga girl Radha’s family out of CM relief fund, mother gets job

Taking the serious note of the financial condition of Radha’s family who was seen selling envelopes made of newspapers to win bread for her family, Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh sent a cheque of Rs. 2 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund which was handed over to the needy family today. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Sangrur Mr. Ramvir.

The Deputy Commissioner said that Lehragaga SDM Promod Singla has provided the cheque of Rs 2 lakh sent by the state government to Radha’s family. He said that Radha’s mother had been given a contractual job at Lehragaga Municipal Council so that Radha’s family could earn for their living respectfully.

He said that the case for the pucca house for family has also been sent to the Lehragaga MC and directions have been issued to the concerned authorities to take the action on the file on priority.

The SDM visited Radha’s house today to hand over a check for financial assistance to her family and said that the state government has assured every possible help for Radha’s family. Mr. Pramod Singla said that the district administration was also working hard to provide all possible help to the family.

He said that after receiving the cheque, Radha along with her ailing father Sanjeev Kumar Aggarwal and other family members thanked the Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh and Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ramvir for keeping their commitment.
