Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr Gursher Singh would lead the 23 contingents of paramilitary forces, Punjab Police, Home Guards, NCC, Scouts and Guardians of Governance (GOGs) during the parade to commemorate Independence Day function this year.
Divulging the details, Commissioner of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Manmohan Singh said that the district would uphold the glorious tradition of organizing the best Independence Parade across the state.
Finalizing the details of the parade they said that the contingents of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), would be followed by three platoons of Punjab Police (Men and Women), four of PAPs, Rajasthan Police, Chandigarh Police, one of Punjab Home Guards, one of Guardians of Governance (GOGs), five of National Cadet Corps besides two each of boys Scout and two girl Guides, one legal cell and one Parho Punjab and Paraho Punjab.
Likewise, they said that bands of PAP, CRPF and Indian Army would add zing to the festivities of Independence Day.They also said that elaborate arrangements have been made to facilitate the participants and students during this mega event.
