Abolition of Black list of Sikhs and accomplishment of Kartarpur Corridor brave decisions of Modi, Shah: Majithia

Chandigarh, Sept. 14, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

Hailing prime minister Narender Modi for his impeccable diplomatic skills for accomplishment of the corridor to Nankana Sahib after seventy years of independence, former minister and Senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia squarely blamed Jawahar Lal Nehru and the congress party for letting down the religious interests of the Brave Sikh community which has stood like a rock in its sacrifices in the Independence movement and suffered the maximum in the partition of the nation .

In a hard hitting statement, Majithia said that congress party could have easily used its influence in getting the area of Nankana Sahib in the Indian Union to show respect to the sentiments of the brave Sikh Community.

Besides Nehru nor any of his predecessors to later presided over the destiny of the country to make a little effort to ensure that territory encompassing Nankana Sahib is swapped nor any efforts were made to provide access to the holy shrine to pay their obeisance.

Strangely, it was NDA after 72 years of independence to make this bold initiative to accomplish the task of the establishing a link between the Community and the birth place of their Guru. NDAsuccessfully insulated the conflicting situation and astutely paved the way for construction of most awaited corridor.

Majithia also thanked Modi’s second in command Amit Shah for abolishing the 35 year old black list of the Sikh which denied them entry into the country even for offering their prayers at the various Gurudwaras spread across the country. With this single stroke, NDA has endeared themselves amongst the Sikhs not in the country but the entire world.

Majithia said Modi’s attitude is diagonally opposed to the Congress led by Gandhi family which had rewarded the guilty of 1984 Sikhs’ massacre with ministerial berths and even recently it had anointed Kamal Nath as chief minister Madhya Pradesh who had dubious role in the 1984 tragedy.

Exuding confidence, Majithia said that with Modi at the helm of affairs the Sikhs assured that the community would get justice and the cases recently open by home minister against Kamal Nath would reach their logical end and the guilty would be sent to where they should have all these years.

On the issue of proposed so called facilities’ tax of Rs.1400 on each of the pilgrim visiting the holy shrine in Pakistan, Majithia said that former Congress president Rahul Gandhi should do the needful.

“ Rahul can easily accomplish it as he and Pakistan are on the same page. Pakistan premier Imran Khan has ofter praised Rahul Gandhi for his sagacity and Rahul Gandhi too has reciprocated this gesture by issuing statements to embarrass Indian government , Indian army, and this Jazia tax should be abolished “.averred Majithia suggesting that Imran Khan won’t turn down Rahul’s demnd.

Also, Majithia suggested that former Congress president can solicit assistance of his own pick up former Punjab minister as he knows that paying such huge money by a family of four to five for paying obeisance across the border is certainly beyond his pocket.
