AAP to hold Motorcycle Rallies across Punjab on Jan 23 to mobilize people for ‘Kisan Tractor Parade’: Bhagwant Mann

Chandigarh, January 21, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would mobilize the people by holding motorcycle rallies across the state for the ‘Kisan Tractor Parade’ to be organised by the farmers on January 26. In a joint statement issued from the party headquarters, party’s state president and MP Bhagwant Mann and Kisan Wing president and MLA Kultar Singh Sandhwan said that the party would hold motorcycle rallies across Punjab on January 23.

They said that the people would be mobilized to join the ‘Kisan Tractor Parade’ being organised by the farmers on January 26 on the occasion of Republic Day by holding motorcycle rallies.

The leaders said that for the first time after the independence of the country, there would be such a procession where on one hand the youth would parade and on the other hand the farmers of the country would parade their tractors on the Delhi roads. They said that all the MLAs and office bearers of the Aam Aadmi Party would take part in the ‘Farmers Tractor Parade’ on January 26.

They added that AAP would not be participating in the parade as a political party, but as a responsible citizen of the country. “Today, our country is going through a very critical period and all the rights enshrined in the Constitution are being trampled on by the ruling dictator PM Narendra Modi government,” they added.

They said that the Constitution gives the right to protest peacefully, and to say; but the Modi-led central government was somehow trying to take away that right. The leaders further said that it was the basic duty of every patriot of India to join the ‘Farmers Tractor Parade’ to save the Constitution.

“For the last several months the country’s farmers have been protesting against the centre’s anti-farmers agriculture black laws. But instead of yielding to their demands, the Union government is trying to stigmatize the farmers’ movement by branding them as terrorists, traitors, agents of Pakistan and China,” they said.

The AAP leaders further said that what could be more proud for a democratic country than the fact that millions of farmers had been peacefully agitating for the last two months and the agitation had created a new history all over the world.

While on the other hand, the Modi government was defaming the country by spreading propaganda against the peacefully agitating farmers. They added that the Modi government should listen to the legitimate demands of the farmers and immediately repeal the black laws.
