AAP symbol ‘Jharoo’ has to be pressed to create a new Punjab: Bhagwant Mann

Chabbewal / Tanda Urmar (Hoshiarpur), 18 December, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab President and Member of Parliament Bhagwant Mann, while appealing to the people of Punjab in public rallies at Chabbewal and Tanda Urmar on saturday, said, “don’t stay entangled in Takaddi, Panja and kamal, now is the time to give Kejriwal a chance.”

Addressing the people, AAP State President Bhagwant Mann asked the people, to send a message to every house and to all friends that it is the Aam Aadmi Party who is worried about the livelihood of people of Punjab and now is the time for Kejriwal. So, give AAP a chance to make Punjab prosperous again.

He said that AAP Supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal delivers what he promises and he had proved it in Delhi too, where, by eradicating corruption, he has increased Delhi’s budget and with this extra money free electricity, water, good education and good treatment is being provided to the people.

Mann said that when Arvind Kejriwal talks of giving Rs.1000 / – per month to women of Punjab, then Congress, Akali, BJP all oppose Kejriwal and say that Kejriwal provides free facilities to the people. He said that when the Chief Minister, Ministers, MLAs and other leaders get free electricity, water, telephones, airplane rides with the money of the people then why the common people should not get free and good facilities.

Mr. Mann said that only Rs. 8200 crore was required to pay Rs.1000 to women, which would be available only if the sand mafias were stopped which is costing the Punjab about Rs.20,000 crore and instead of money going to the pockets of criminals and congressmen, it’ll financially strengthen women.

Commenting on Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Bhagwant Mann said, “Channi Saab has not done anything during his four and a half years as Technical Education Minister. Channi has organized the highest number of job fairs as a minister, but no one from Punjab has got a government job.”

Taking a dig at Capt Amarinder Singh, Bhagwant Mann said that in 2017, Congressmen used to say ‘Captain ne sau chukki, har ghar naukari pakki’ and now the job giver himself has become unemployed, said Mann.

He said that Congress has forgotten or back paddled from each one of their promises; employment in every household, free land to build houses, smart phones, shagan scheme, many more. And now they are giving an account of 80 days when the people of Punjab want account of whole five years.

Criticizing the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Badal, Bhagwant Mann said that the Akali Dal would show up with 94 year old Baba Badal on stage and ask for ‘another chance’. We have been giving them opportunities for seventy years. They have plundered everything. He said that Badal family along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi had been advocating for anti-farmer laws but when the farmers started the agitation, madam resigned saying, ‘we have sacrificed for the farmers’.

Bhagwant Mann said that Narendra Modi had brought anti-farmer laws but now after one year he said that he repealed these laws. Mann appealed to the people to press the ‘jharoo’ button once saying that your children will become leaders and officers and would go to the assembly and make laws for our nation, not for the moguls.

On this occasion, Aam Aadmi Party leaders of Tanda Jasveer Singh Raja, Jagjivan Singh Jaggi, Satwant Jaggi, Avtar Singh, Joginder Singh, Tarsem Lal, Surinder Pal Singh, Manjit Singh, Harminder Singh, Harnam Das and from Chabbewal Harminder Singh Sandhu Chabewal, District President Mohan Lal, Lok Sabha Incharge Dr. Harminder Bakhshi, District President Kisan Wing Jasveer Singh, Surinder Pal Singh Sandhu, Karamvir Singh Ghuman, Gurwinder Singh Pabla, Unkar Singh, Karamjit Kaur etc. were present.
