The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday staged a ‘tractor protest march’ to Badal village on hundreds of tractors against the Badal family, which was most responsible for proposal of anti-agriculture ordinances in the Parliament.
Tractor march from Talwandi Sabo and Lambi-Malout was led by Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema and party MLAs from Local leadership of South Malwa including Baljinder Kaur, Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Rupinder Kaur Ruby.
Addressing after the nearly 100 km long tractor march, the AAP leaders slammed the Akali Dal (Badal) especially the Badal family and the ruling Congress and called it a chameleon-like opportunist.
Harpal Singh Cheema said that the Badal family and Chief Minister Amarinder Singh along with Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal had gone to the maximum possible extent to befool farmers, laborers and the whole of Punjab on the issue of farm ordinance . Finally seeing the struggles of the farmers’ organizations, the Aam Aadmi Party and the ‘public outrage’ created by the conscious views of agronomists, both stakeholders (Badal-Captain) took a U-turn and changed colors like chameleons.
Cheema said that it was a victory of united struggle but the betrayals of these ‘Dogras’ had left no stone unturned to defeat the farmers, laborers and transporters of Punjab and the country in the Lok Sabha.
According to Cheema, if Amarinder Singh and Manpreet Badal had not tacitly agreed in the High Power Committee on Ordinances and Harsimrat Kaur Badal had immediately objected to these ordinances introduced in the Cabinet, this fatal ordinance would have not found it’s place in the Lok Sabha.
All the AAP leaders, including Cheema, said that these deadly bills could still be impeded in the Rajya Sabha.
