Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Core Committee Chairman and Budhlada MLA Principal Budh Ram has flayed the act of detaining Additional Deputy Commissioner of Mansa, Gurmeet Singh Sidhu, by Mansa district president of the Congress, Manju Bala and her supporters, in his office for two hours, saying that the ruling Congress Party was hell bent on politicalising the civil administration like the police dispensation in the state.
He described the act of obstructing a civil servant from performing his official duties for hours, stating that it was detrimental to the very bedrock of democracy, he said.
Principal Budh Ram further said that like the ‘so-called jathedars’ of the Badals, the Congressmen, whom people had rejected, were trying to passing their dictat, stating that the AAP won’t allow them to succeed in their nefarious design.
Budh Ram demanded that those behind the act should be punished for obstructing a civil servant to perform his official duties so that the message reached out to the remotest of corners in the state.
