AAP deploys army of volunteers in service of farmers protesting on Delhi border

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has deployed an army of party volunteers in the service of the farmers, currently fighting on the Delhi-Haryana border against the new agriculture laws brought in by the Center.

The Aam Aadmi Partyhas been working in a systematic manner by putting teams of volunteers at the Sighun and Tikri borders to extend a helping hand to the farmers. The volunteers had been assigned duties to be at the beck and call of the struggling farmers 24X7 in a systematic manner.

Teams formed by the party approach the agitating farmers and ask them about their needs and problems and try to resolve them in the best possible way. Teams deployed to pick and drop doctors and health workers for timely medical assistance, cutting vegetables for the langar, supply of gas cylinders, water tankers, cleaning of toilets to water management, the responsibility of water management.

AAP MLA Mohinder Goyal, who was engaged in serving the agitating farmers on the Singhu border, said that as per the guidelines issued by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, all the teams had been working behind the scenes sans using party flags or symbols.

Mohinder Goyal further said that as volunteers working for the farmers, saying they were paying special attention to the cleanliness at the dharna site and carrying the broom themselves.

He added that the teams included district level leaders of Punjab besides Delhi. Jarnail Singh, MLA in charge of Punjab affairs, was acting as a bridge between these teams and the Delhi government.
