The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday released another list of candidates for the forthcoming Municipal Corporation, Municipal Committee and Nagar Panchayat elections in the state.
In a joint statement issued from the party headquarters, AAP’s state incharge and MLA from Delhi Jarnail Singh and state president and MP Bhagwant Mann said that the party has intensified its preparations for the forthcoming local bodies’ polls and has announced another list of 107 candidates in 14 local bodies.
The leaders said that the candidates from Fatehgarh Sahib,Tanda, Gardhiwal, Garhshankar, Banga, Kiratpur sahib, Sahnewal, Anandpur Sahib, Lehragagga, Dhuri, Nathana, Arniwala Sheikh Subhan, Bhucho Mandi and Goniana, were announced. They said that the traditional parties had been in the seats of these local bodies for a long time and according to the culture of Akalis, Congress and BJP; they forget people after winning the elections.
They added that people had to move around the offices for small tasks. The leaders said that the Aam Aadmi Party has fielded candidates who would serve the people, are honest, educated and intelligent.
The AAP leaders appealed to the voters of Punjab to choose the right candidate by exercising their voting right enshrined in the Constitution.
