Aadhar Super Market’s Owner, Manager booked for fleecing customers amid Curfew

MANSA, April 09, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)

The district police led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mansa Dr Narinder Bhargav on Thursday, booked owner and manager of Aadhar Super Market situated near Bus Stand for fleecing customers amid the Curfew enforced to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Divulging the details, Bhargav said that acting on the complaint lodged Advocate Balkaran Singh Balli citing that he had purchased some items from Aadhar Super Market on April 08, 2020, on a much higher rate than mentioned Maximum Retail Price (MRP) on the article.

SSP Mansa said that keeping in view the seriousness of the matter, a criminal case under section 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the owner and Manager of Aadhar Super Market and police are investigating the case. He said that such mal practising during this critical period is not tolerable at all and strict action will be taken against such people.
