800 E-Rickashaws to be deployed to facilitate pilgrims in Sultanpur Lodhi from Nov 1st

To facilitate the huge footfall at sultanpur lodhi, the Punjab Government would deployed 800 E-Ricshaws from November 1st which would cater the pilgrims from all parking places to the Gurdwara Shri Ber sahib .

Today in a meeting with the councilors and MLA Navtej Singh Cheema,Deputy Commissioner DPS Kharbanda and SSP Satinder Singh said that the district administration would implement least restrictions on the pilgrims and residents of the city.

They said that from November onwards all vehicles to coming to holy city would be stopped at 9 parking points and 300 Mini buses would bring the pilgrims to the nearby parkings of Gurdwara Shri Ber sahib , from where they would visit the holy shrine by foot. He also made it clear that aged pilgrims would be provided the services of E-Ricshaws till the Gurdwara sahib .

Replying on a issue raised by some councilors, Deputy Commissioner said that to tackle any emergency situation , special passes to be issued to the city residents.

Deputy commissioner has also urged the city residents to stop all kind of constructions in the city so that clean atmosphere to be ensured. He also said that Municipal council would be responsible to implement this orders in true spirit and manner.

SSP Satinder Singh said that two local police personals to be implemented at all important traffic points besides giving special briefing about the management of traffic and geography of the city to the police personals who would be deployed from other districts.
