Seven Punjabi youth who were stranded in Tajikistan after being misled by a fraudulent agent were successfully repatriated to India today with the swift intervention of Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), and the Indian Embassy in Tajikistan.
The boys had sent a distress video on 19th October seeking urgent help, after which Dr. Sahney immediately took up the matter
Dr. Sahney also informed that his office remained in constant touch with the youth and the Embassy, providing their google location and documents to facilitate their return. All seven boys arrived at Delhi Airport today afternoon, where his Parliamentary team received them.
Dr. Sahney said that the boys will be provided skilling & jobs in punjab itself and will also be assisted in taking legal action against the unscrupulous agent responsible for their exploitation.
