Divisional Commissioner Mr B Purusartha and Inspector General of Police Mr Naunihal Singh today asked the officers of the civil and Police administration to pull up the socks for smooth execution of the functions to commemorate 550th parkash purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.
Chairing a meeting here at the local market office, the Divisional Commissioner and Inspector General of Police, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Mr DPS Kharbanda and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr Satinder Singh, said that all the officers were duty-bound for the smooth and hassle free execution of this mega event.
They said that the officers of civil and Police administration must exhibit remarkable coordination and synchronisation for streamlining the organisation of these events. Mr Purusartha and Mr Naunihal Singh said that any sort of callousness in this cause was totally unwarranted and undesirable.
The Commissioner and inspector General of Police reviewed the arrangements regarding boarding and lodging of devotees, traffic management, parking of vehicles, security, law and order besides others to facilitate the devotees paying obeisance at the holy city during the commemorative functions.
They said that every effort would be made to ensure that foolproof arrangements for the mega event. Mr Purusartha and Mr Naunihal Singh called upon all the officers/ officials to discharge their duties efficaciously to ensure convenience of the public.
The Divisional Commissioner and Inspector General of Police said that the state government was committed for organising the mega event in an unsurpassed manner. They said that for this purpose a viable mechanism has been already put in place.
Mr Purusartha and Mr Naunihal Singh said that all the officers who have been deputed here to perform the duty were the lucky ones as they have got once in a life time opportunity to be a part of this mega opportunity.
On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioners Mr Rahul Chaba and Mr Avtar Singh Bhullar, Deputy Director Local Government Mr Barjinder Singh, Secretary RTA Dr Nayan Jassal, Sub Divisional Magistrate Mr Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa, Dr Charumita, Mr Parminder Singh Heer and Mr Latif Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Ms Navneet Kaur Bal, Deputy Director Local Government Mr Paramjit Singh, Executive Engineer Mr Varinder Kumar and Mr BS Tuli besides others were also present.
