Disclosing this here today while presiding over a meeting to combat the corona virus disease, the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan said that people should not pay any heed to rumours and exercise precautions besides avoiding socialising in order to stem the disease.
The DC also made it clear that home quarantine doesn’t mean that a person is symptomatic to or is corona virus positive. It is just a precautionary measure.
It is noteworthy that Three more positive cases of COVID-19 surfaces in Mohali today. All contacts of previously confirmed cases or with travel history to UK. All under hospital quarantine and their contacts under isolation and observation.
A 74 year old woman, sister of previous 69 years old woman who tested positive had returned from UK, is in isolation at fortis, the second case is of a 28 year old woman, a Contact of positive case of Chandigarh and employee of four wheeler Agency and is admitted in Civil Hospital Ph 6, Mohali. The third case is of a 42 year old woman resident of sector 69 who is admitted in GH-16 Chandigarh. She had also returned from UK on March 12.
In all, there are now 4 confirmed cases at Mohali.
