29 Sewa Kendras of Jalandhar to start Learning Licence Facility soon

The Deputy Commissioner Mr Kulwant Singh said that to facilitate the people of the district, the service of learning license will be started in 29 Sewa Kendras of the district within a fortnight.

Presiding over a meeting at District Administrative Complex today, Deputy Commissioner Mr Kulwant Singh accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr Jasbir Singh, said that the service will start in 29 Type I and Type II Sewa Kendras in the district.

He said that these include Sewa Kendras in DC office (two) Domaria Bridge, Khurla Kingra, Ladhewali, Kot Sadiq, Dhilwan Talhan Road, PIMS Jalandhar, Major Rohit Sharma Government School Model Town, Lamba Pind road, Guru Amar Dass Colony road near Verka Milk Plant, Maqsudan Sabzi Mandi, Burlton Park, Mithu Basti, In Nakodar Suwidha Centre SDM Office, Backside Bus Stand, Gons Mohalla Mehatpur near Water Tank, Primary Health Centre Mehatpur, In Shahkot Dushhera Ground, Phull Road Lohian near Civil Hospital, Adampur BDPO Office, Alawalpur Near Bus Stand, In Phillaur Suwidha Centre SDM Office, backside Patwarkhana, Bara Pind Goraya Road, EOCP Nurmahal, Near Tubewell No-2 Goraya, Bhogpur and Sub Tehsil Kartarpur.

He said that staff of these Sewa kendras have already undergone first phase of training and second phase of training will be imparted to them in next week.

The Deputy Commissioner also said that the requisite infrastructure arrangements including webcam, digital signature pad and others are already available in these 29 centres.

He said that the launch of this service in the Kendras will ultimately benefit the people as they will have need to go to RTA office in Jalandhar and service will be made available to them in nearby Sewa Kendras.

He said that Sewa Kendra must ensure hassle-free service to the people.

He told that Sewa Kendras were opened by the state government to facilitate the people and any sort of laxity on their parts would not be tolerated at any cost.

DC said that zero-tolerance policy must be adopted against any sort of inordinate delay by the Sewa Kendras and stern action would be taken against management of Sewa Kendras if found negligent.

Mr Singh also added that there must not be any pendency of the applications in the Sewa Kendra.

On the occasion Sub Divisional Magistrates Mr Amit Kumar, Mr Rahul Sindhu, Dr Sanjiv Sharma, Dr Jai Inder Singh and Mr Vineet Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Dr Shayari Malhotra, District Revenue Officer Mr Jashanjeet Singh and others were also present.
