A 20-year-old woman was safely rescued from the terrace of Unity One Mall in Rohini after she allegedly threatened to jump from the building, prompting a coordinated response by the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), Delhi Police and mall security personnel.
The incident was reported at around 8:55 p.m. on Sunday at the mall near Ambedkar Hospital Metro Station, which falls under the Rohini division.
Following the alert, a DFS team and police personnel reached the spot and began efforts to bring the woman to safety. Mall security guards also assisted the emergency responders and helped secure the terrace area.
According to the DFS, the woman was rescued at around 9:15 p.m. without sustaining any injuries. She was subsequently handed over to the Delhi Police.
The fire department deployed one water tender for the emergency operation.
Officials said the prompt and coordinated intervention by fire personnel, police and mall security staff helped prevent the woman from taking the potentially fatal step.
The Delhi Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Further details were not immediately available.
