11 Kharar councilors join Congress

Chandigarh, April 21, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

In a major boost to the Congress party’s campaign in Anandpur Sahib, eleven sitting councilors from Kharar today joined the party in presence of the senior vice president of the PCC Laal Singh at the Congress Bhawan here today.

They extended their support to the party candidate from Sri Anandpur Sahib Manish Tewari, who was also present on the occasion.

Others present, included ministers Balbir Singh Sidhu and Charanjit Singh Channi and former minister and senior party leader Jagmohan Singh Kang and youth Congress leader Yadwinder Kang.

Those who joined today included Jasveer Kaur, Harinderpal Singh, Suman Sharma, Sohan Singh, Radhey Sony, Sunil Kumar, Surmukh Singh, Major Singh, Karnail Singh, Davinder Singh and Kamal Kishor Sharma.

Welcoming them into the party fold, senior vice president Laal Singh said, their joining the party will provide further boost to the campaign of Tewari in the Kharar area. Laal Singh thanked all the senior party leaders for their efforts to make them join the party.

He promised that the party will watch the councilors’ interests and they will be part and parcel of all the decision making processes.

Speaking on the occasion, Tewari thanked the councilors for their support and said, he will always be grateful to them and they will always remain his associates and colleagues.
