10 Kanal land to be allocated for Community Hall & Graveyard to Christian Community in Nakodar

The district administration has approved the allocation of 10 kanal for the construction of community hall and graveyard for the Christian community in Nakodar.

Apprising the Chairman of Punjab State Minorities Commission Mr. Munawar Masih about it during a meeting here at the district administrative complex, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Kulwant Singh said that the necessary formalities regarding allocation of land, on National Highways Number I, would be completed soon and the matter would be send for the approval from the state government.

He said that the community could utilise this lad as per their requirement for the construction of the community hall and the grave yard.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration was already according top most priority to settle all the issues related to the Christian community in general and regarding the allocation of land for the graveyards in particular. Mr. Kulwant Singh said that the district administration would make all out efforts for resolving this noble cause. He also apprised

Welcoming the Commission’s Chairman Munawar Masih and other members of the commission, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration was duty-bound to protect the interests of the minorities in the district.

He assured the chairman that district administration would make all out efforts to provide suitable land for the burial ground required by the communities in the district. Mr. Kulwant Singh appealed the representatives of communities to submit their written applications so that time-bound action could be taken by the administration.

On the occasion Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Arun Saini, Sub Divisional Magistrate Mr. Amit Kumar, District Welfare Officer Mr. Rajinder Singh, Block Development and Panchayat Officer Ms. Zeenat and others were also present.
