Upjit Singh Sachdeva, an eminent social-activist, renowned businessman and Honorary Consul General of India in Liberia would be specially flying to India to participate and speak in an International Lecture Series on âEmpowering Rural Youthâ.
The lecture series is being organized by Shivaji University, Kolhapur along with Dyaneshwar Muley Education Society and Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) at University Campus in Kolhapur on 10th of September.
Sachdeva would be there as an Honorable Guest and is scheduled to speak in two out of three sessions of the lecture series. Prominent speakers not only from India but from the globe have been invited to share the knowledge and experience to the young minds of the Western Maharashtra.
In the first session, where Sachdeva would be delivering a speech, the Guests for the Ceremony include Waylar Ravi, Union Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs and Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.
In the second session, Sachdeva would be speaking on âBuilding the 21st Century Business Enterprisesâ before an audience consisting of Businessmen, Entrepreneurs, Start-Ups and Professors.
Others who are scheduled to speak at different sessions of the lecture series include Dr. N.J.Pawar, Dr. Didar Singh, Amb Dyaneshwar Mulay, Ashook Ramsaran, Dr. Gajanan Sabnis.
Sachdeva, hailing from Jalandhar in Punjab, was in 2011 honored by former President of India, Ms Pratibha Devi Singh Patil with Pravasi Bhartiya Sanman Award for his contributions.
A popular figure in Liberia, Sachdeva was felicitated by the president of Liberia with âThe Knight Grand Commanderâ, the highest award in Liberia during 164 th Indepence Day celebration in northern city of Voinjama, Lofa County, 400 kilometers from, Liberiaâs national capital Monrovia .
